Help! My computer won’t turn on, and I need a file from it immediately!
We offer file recovery services with little to no waiting. Whether it’s recovering a project file, documents for school, or a video file for that presentation at work, we can get you the files you need off of your computer to use immediately, so you don’t have to wait for your computer to be fixed to get access.

Will adding more memory make my computer faster?
On a computer that came with Windows XP or Vista, there is a good chance that it will. On anything else it likely won’t make any difference. The best way to make your computer faster is to get a cleanup to remove the software that is running which you don’t want. We can also upgrade your computer with a Solid State Hard Drive (SSD) which will make your computer run much faster than it does now, and will make it much faster than it was when it was new.

My computer is running slowly. Do I have a virus?
Probably not. There is a new kind of problem called Malware, programs that don’t delete your files but slow your computer to a crawl. These programs are designed to monitor what you do online, show you lots of advertisements, or scam you out of money. If you are seeing popups that say “We found this many problems with your computer, click here to fix” you can be sure that you have this scam software. Cleanup of these problems generally runs from $80-100, and will make your computer as fast as new again!

My computer says it was locked by the FBI. What can I do?
Don’t give them any money. This is a scam. Bring it by and we can remove this for you, without losing any of your files.

Will getting my computer fixed delete my files?
We never delete any user files unless the computer owner asks us to. There is occasional hardware failure which makes access files impossible, but even if your hard drive fails there is a good chance we can save your important work or family pictures.

Can you transfer files to my new computer?
Absolutely! Bring both systems in and we can usually get the transfer finished for you in a day or two.

How long will it take to fix my computer?
Most repairs take 2-4 days. There are occasionally problems which take more time, but our turnaround is usually under a week. Priority service is available to get your computer back to you as fast as possible.

Do you offer any sort of lessons?
We offer in store help. This can cover something small, like learning to download programs on your cell phone or ipad, to larger things like learning to send e-mail on your computer or making video calls. Call ahead to make sure someone is in the store, bring a list of the things you wish to learn, and bring your device and we’ll be more than happy to help you learn the things that are important to you, without all the time and extra details needed for a class at the college.
